Important COVID-19 update

To our valued Peak patients,

This is a stressful time for everyone amongst the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. Our hearts are with all of the families affected in our community.  As you are aware, this is all a constantly evolving situation.  Physical Therapy is considered an essential critical workforce in managing musculoskeletal conditions by the US Department of Homeland Security.  As such Peak Physical Therapy is continuing to remain open to serve our patients and our community, and to help take some of the burden and pressure of treatment off of our ER doctors and primary care physicians, and decrease the patient volume in an already overloaded hospital system.

At Peak the health and safety of our patients is always our top priority. As such, we are diligently monitoring updates to the Coronavirus or COVID-19. We understand this is a challenging time for us all, but want to reassure you that we are committed to using preventive measures such as checking temperatures and symptoms of all people entering the Pavilion, disinfecting our equipment and countertops, washing our hands frequently, and using alcohol-based sanitizer to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, as well as cold and flu.  In addition, we are emphasizing and encouraging proper hand hygiene among our patients, and have strategically placed hand sanitizers and wipes throughout our clinic. We are also making accommodations for our “at risk” patients that still need to get in for therapy, by offering hours with very limited patients and personnel in the clinic. We will communicate this with our patients who are in this demographic, or ask you to contact Stephanie or Dennielle if you have concerns, and they can assist you in making those appointments.

We kindly ask that if you are experiencing any of the common cold or flulike symptoms, that you allow us to reschedule your appointment to when you are feeling better. We will continue to monitor the latest Coronavirus updates and will make any changes necessary to help keep our patients and staff healthy.

Thank you,

Brian Russon

Coronavirus/COVID-19 Update

Update 3/23/2020:

Physical Therapy is considered an essential critical workforce in managing musculoskeletal conditions by the US Department of Homeland Security.  As such Peak is continuing to remain open to serve our patients and community and help take some of the burden and pressure of treatment off of primary care physicians and orthopedic surgeons.  We are very sensitive to your health and well-being, and continue to follow all CDC guidelines for cleaning, safety and risk management.

We will be adding in hours for patients who may feel at risk, but still need to attend therapy, where we will limit the number of people (staff and patients) in the clinic at that time to minimize contact and interaction even more stringently.  We will be personally contacting patients who fall into that category, but if we don’t and you have concerns, please talk with us and we will work to fully accommodate your needs.

Update 3/20/2020:

Adding to the below information.  We were operational all last week, and have been following not only state guidelines, but also national PT association ones.  That includes the same info as below, and we are using rooms and spreading tables apart to maintain safe interaction distances with patients in clinic at the same time.  We will be open next week.

To all Peak Physical Therapy patients! Just letting everyone know, we are still open! PT falls under one of the “allowed to stay open” businesses during the “social distancing.”  We are currently doing the following to make sure we all stay healthy:

  • Each morning all staff has temperature checked
  • All patients entering the Evergreen Health Pavilion also has temperature checked (at front or in PT office.) This is Evergreen Hospitals policy as a fever > 100 degrees is a strong indicator of illness
  • We are asking patients to come alone, or if a minor, just one parent (no siblings)
  • If you have any symptoms of illness please call
  • We are cleaning/disinfecting all surfaces routinely throughout the day
  • Practicing good hygiene/hand washing

Hopefully we can get through all this together, and for now you can continue to attend your PT appts! Please call if any questions!

Thanks!
Brian

European Masters Games

Congrats to the US Masters Taekwondo team! 2 of our locals were competitors, Michael Colver and Trinity Osborn, and LOTS of hard work and training went into their being ready to compete!  Glad we could be part of their journey! Good luck in 2020!
